Some May Day (May 1st) Events in KW

Hey folks! Celebrate May Day in Kitchener on Wednesday, May 1st 2013.May Day is International Workers' Day. This day is marked by remembering, celebrating, and standing in solidarity with past and present worker struggles around the globe, and continuing to sow seeds for better times to come. May Day's history is rooted in the revolutionary workers' movement and can be tied to struggles that took place in the 1880s in Chicago, particularly organizing for an 8 hour work day and protests at Haymarket Square that led to four movement organizers hanged.
